A pair of carved rock crystal chess pieces, one of baluster form with a domed, ridged finial and rounded central knop, and the other of simple arched profile with a smooth, tapering top. Both pieces display the natural translucency and soft internal veining typical of rock crystal, with polished surfaces and slight base wear.
