AN INDIAN BRONZE FOOT SCRAPER WITH ANIMAL FIGURES, 19TH/20TH CENTURY. - An Indian cast bronze foot scraper formed with a circular grated base designed for cleaning the soles of footwear. The cylindrical base is pierced with evenly spaced vertical openings around the sides, while the top surface features a grid of raised ridges intended to remove dirt and mud from the bottom of shoes. Rising above the base are two stylised animal figures facing each other, their arched bodies forming a decorative handle. The animals are depicted with elongated legs, pointed ears, and rounded eyes, their forms joined by a curved element above. The sculptural group creates a functional grip while also serving as an ornamental feature. H: Approximately 7cm
