The mount is decorated with an intricate openwork lattice or honeycomb pattern that extends from the bezel through the shoulders. The carnelian intaglio is deeply engraved with mirrored Arabic calligraphy set across two registers and punctuated by small floral motifs. The inscription reads Nasrun min Allahi wa-fathun qarib, translating to Help from Allah and a near victory, a verse from the Quran (Surah As-Saff 61:13). The mirrored script indicates the stone was intended for use as a seal.
