AN ISLAMIC ENGRAVED CARNELIAN AGATE TALISMANIC PENDANT. - A circular talismanic pendant featuring a translucent brownish-orange carnelian stone, traditionally known as aqeeq in the Islamic world. The stone is hand-engraved with Arabic calligraphy. The central inscription features the name of Allah, composed of the characters Alif (ا), Lam (ل), Lam (ل), and Ha (ه). Surrounding the centre is a circular band of stylised calligraphy arranged into an eight-pointed star motif, a design associated with the Rub el Hizb or the Seal of Solomon. The calligraphic border likely contains protective Quranic verses, such as the Ayat al-Kursi, or the Ninety-Nine Names of God.  D: Approximately 5cm
