AN ISLAMIC SILVER AND ENGRAVED AGATE SIGNET RING. - An Islamic signet ring featuring a silver mount and an oval-cut gemstone intaglio. The central stone is deeply engraved with Arabic script in a cursive style, with the name Muhammad clearly distinguishable on the right side of the composition. The surrounding field is decorated with clusters of small, circular drill-marks. The gemstone is held within a gadrooned bezel, and the shoulders of the ring are finished with fluted, ribbed detailing.
