RHODIAN SILVER DRACHM WITH MEDUSA HEAD, CIRCA 3RD–2ND CENTURY BC. - A silver drachm from Rhodes, dating to circa the 3rd–2nd century BC. The obverse features a facing head of Medusa (Gorgoneion), with stylised facial features, rounded cheeks, and distinctive flowing hair rendered in relief. The reverse depicts a rose (the emblem of Rhodes) with surrounding Greek inscription, partially visible, within a shallow incuse field.
