AN EGYPTIAN GRANITE VESSEL, LATE PERIOD–PTOLEMAIC PERIOD, CIRCA 664–30 BC. - A carved and polished dark granite vessel of cylindrical form with characteristic light-coloured mottled inclusions throughout. The vessel features a thick, rounded, everted rim and a flat base with a slightly defined, recessed foot. In the style of ancient Egyptian stoneware, reminiscent of Early Dynastic or Old Kingdom cosmetic jars, the item exhibits a high-quality polished finish.
