AN ISLAMIC QUR'AN LEAF FRAGMENT IN KUFIC SCRIPT ON VELLUM. - This lot consists of a Qur'an manuscript leaf fragment written in early Kufic script. The text is executed in dense black ink on a vellum substrate. The calligraphy features nine lines of script characterised by an angular form and horizontal emphasis. Small red dots are visible throughout the text, serving as diacritical marks for vocalisation.  Approximately 31 X 30.2cm
