PERSIAN SCHOOL, 19TH CENTURY, A QAJAR STYLE OIL PAINTING OF A FEMALE DANCER. - An oil on canvas painting executed in the style of the Persian Qajar dynasty, depicting a courtly female dancer. The figure is presented standing, featuring traditional stylised facial characteristics such as joined eyebrows and almond-shaped eyes. Her attire consists of a red bodice with inset jewellery, a yellow skirt with floral motifs, a translucent overskirt, and an elaborate bejewelled headdress. The setting is an architectural interior with geometric wall patterns, an archway decorated with roses in the spandrels, and a teal textile drape.
