AN IVORY MADURA KRIS HILT Indonesia, Madura, late 19th – early 20th century 11,5 cm high Finely carved with a demoniac figure covered with vegetation, wooden stand. Provenance: the collection of a Dutch noblewoman lived in Indonesia, acquired before 1975. Two very similar hilts are illustrated in V. Ghirindelli, Kris Hilts.
