Pair of Italian marble sculptures depicting the archangels Michael and Gabriel - 17th century genoese school - white marble depicting the archangel Michael (with sword) and the archangel Gabriel (with trumpet). The work by an unknown sculptor, they are to be placed in the 17th century Genoese production, still influenced by the mannerism of late 16th century sculpture. Height 97 cm each. Item condition grading: *** fair, Archangel Michael's left hand is broken and a finger of Archangel Gabriel's right hand is missing.
