Frech silver and gold compact - Paris, 1940s, mark of BOUCHERON silver and gold sapphires-set compact signed ”Boucheron Paris”, numbered BT No 875012 and 80440 lozenge shaped maker's mark, and French boar's head guarantee mark, mixed metal mark, and 'OR ARGENT'. Rectangular form with chequered surface, the open-work panel with butterflies among leafy branches, gilt angular ribbed thumb piece to reveal mirror and powder compartments. Height 1.2 cm, length 7.5cm, width 5.7 cm. Weight 176.9 g. Item condion grading: **** good. Minor defects.
