Peter Schenk (1660 - 1713) - Etching and engraving, 502 x 584 mm. Map of the Battle of Malplaquet, which took place on 11 September 1709, in what is now Belgium and was a major battle in the War of the Spanish Succession between the allied forces of Great Britain, the Netherlands and Austria and French troops. Impression with splendid hand-colouring, printed on heavy laid paper. Paper uniformly browned but otherwise in very good condition.
