Ostrich egg with coral, 18th century - Height x width x depth: 29 x 11 x 11 cm. Weight: 715 g approx. with a gilded metal mounting at both ends, decorated with oak leaves, also repeated on the dome-shaped lid, fitted with a branch socket made of red Mediterranean coral ( Corallum Rubrum ). The whole rests on a weighted circular base, probably not contemporary, decorated with floral motives.
