Weight: 41 g elephant ivory openable sculpture (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797) carved in the round to depict a lady in a period dress resembling Emma Lady Hamilton (Neston, 26 April 1765 - Calais, 16 January 1815), an English adventuress remembered for being the mistress of Admiral Horatio Nelson; on the inside, scenes from her life.
