Baroque Italian Cassapanca, Venetian area, 17th century - Height x width x depth: 56,5 x 168 x 63 cm. made of walnut wood, with finely crafted walnut burl panels featuring a central eight-pointed star inlay, a recurring element in Renaissance and Baroque cabinetry, often linked to religious or chivalric symbolism. The side uprights are decorated with female figures carved in the round. The structure is embellished with molded frames, a base carved with pods, and shaped feet.
