Sardinian filigree paten in 800 silver with croxu “nuxedda” and carved coral, Sardinia - Diameter: 7 cm. Weight: 75,7 g. The shape is typical of a croxu ‘nuxedda’ (walnut shell), characterised by a soft, slightly concave profile reminiscent of the opening of a small shell. In the centre of the paten is a carved cerasuolo coral (Corallium Elatius), with the face of the Madonna on one side and that of Christ on the other.  800/1000 silver, hallmarked “800”. This lot, accompanied by an expertise issued by Ce.S.Ar Centro studi archeometici, is only available for sale with shipments within the European Union.
