Lot of 11 18k gold medals - Diameter: 50 mm. Weight: 80.4 g each. Total weight 884 g. Recognition medal of SIR (Società Italiana Resine), issued to commemorate the collaboration with Porto Torres for the construction of the industrial plants in the second half of the twentieth century. The obverse features a stylized depiction of the plants, accompanied by the company’s initials, SIR; the reverse shows a view of the port, with its name inscribed within a lower border, while the upper border bears the company’s full name. Hallmarked “750 - 483 MI.” Literature: Società Italiana Resine (S.I.R.) was an important Italian chemical company, founded in 1931 and specialized in the production of chemical resins for industrial applications. Over the decades, it collaborated on national and international industrial projects, including the supply of materials and technical consulting for chemical plants and infrastructure.
