Charles Nicolas Cochin (1715 - 1790) Jacques Philippe Le Bas (1707-1783) - Lot of four large engravings from the series of six Les Ports de mer de la France, after the paintings by Joseph Vernet commissioned by King Louis XV. Etching and engraving, approx. 620 x 890 mm (each sheet). Edition of the Chalcographie du Louvre (post 1930). Fine impressions on Arches wove paper. Two sheets bear the blindstamp of the Chalcographie du Louvre (Lugt 1695a). Generally in very good condition, apart from overall browning and stains along the right margin of Le Port de Rochefort.
