Vintage Tri-Color Vermeil Feather Earrings, ca1987 - Circa 1987 Rose, Yellow, and White Gold (over) Sterling Silver .925 Leaf-Motif Posts and Friction Backs These vermeil earrings are a classic1980's motif with the yellow and rose gold-plated feathers that frame a white gold-plated and black enamel document.  The earrings are approximately 1” long and attach to the earlobe with posts and friction backs.  The posts are positioned approximately .25” from the top.  The earrings were originally sold with a plastic protective coating that mostly remains on them.  (Provenance Story: The estate manager for the earrings explained that they were a gift from a prospective suitor who did not notice she had unpierced ears at the time!  She never wore them and the young man began courting another young lady the next week and refused to take the earrings back from her, ) Admin: hhttsc 1-All weights, sizes, measurements, as well as the color or clarity of any gemstones or diamonds mentioned in the titles, descriptions, introductions, notes or anywhere in the auction catalog shall be considered ”approximate” regardless of the inclusion of the word ”approximate” any similar adjective. 2-This is an estate item in excellent to like new condition.
