Item Overview
Description:
Setting: Sterling Silver .925
Main Gemstone: Shell (Operculum Mollusk)
Size: 11.5 US
Designer/Hallmark: CM (as per estate manager) - Calvin Mariano, Navajo silversmith.
Also called "Operculum Mollusk" and "The Tiger's Eye of the Pacific", the Shiva Shells are named after the Hindu god Shiva due to their resemblance to his third eye. (AI).
While most people are familiar with the beautiful Native American jewelry, they are not familiar with the Shiva Shell, so it makes a great "ice-breaker" or "conversation piece". This ring features an approximate 12x9mm oval, polished, slightly purplish Shiva Shell that is bezel-set in a tendrilled frame. There are large cut-out sterling silver leaves on the shoulders that lead to an approximate 7.35mm shank. This ring is US size 11.5 and bears the CM-Calvin Mariano, Navajo hallmark.. See sizing details and other information below. ** See Cleaning and Care Guide For Shiva Shell Below.

**CLEANING AND CARE GUIDE OR TIPS:
To care for a Shiva shell, gently clean it with a soft, damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasives; ensure it dries completely after cleaning, and consider storing it in a soft pouch to prevent scratches. Follow the cleaning instructions for the metal as well, typically using a soft cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid saltwater, as some salts can be abrasive and may damage the shell's surface. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent potential fading. - AI
