VINTAGE RADIO AND TURNTABLE FURNITURE TE-KA-DE NUREMBERG - 1950s - RARE - Exceptional and very rare vintage sound cabinet (Musikschrank) from the prestigious German brand TE-KA-DE (Süddeutsche Telefon-Apparate-, Kabel- und Drahtwerke A.G.), produced in Nuremberg in the mid-1950s. This is an authentic piece of German Mid-Century Modern design and engineering history. Unlike the more common mass-market brands of the time, TE-KA-DE equipment is much less frequent on the antiques market, making them highly collectible. The dark noble wood cabinet features an impeccable glossy finish, with two front doors and elegant golden details. The upper section highlights the brand's iconic three-dimensional metallic logo with the Nuremberg Castle coat of arms and a central tuning indicator valve (”magic eye”). The base features an original, well-preserved golden acoustic fabric in an interwoven pattern and conceals two doors with a sectioned cabinet for vinyl records. Top with built-in turntable.
