NAPOLEON III STYLE CABINET - VERNIS MARTIN PAINTING AND MARBLE TOP - Exceptional bombé/curved cabinet, inspired by the exquisite French Napoleon III style. A stately piece with great visual impact and decorative richness. The curved front features a large central medallion and finely hand-painted side panels. The scene depicts a romantic bucolic landscape with leafy trees, a cottage, and birds in full flight, executed using the prestigious classical ”Vernis Martin” technique. Structure covered with noble wood veneers arranged in a butterfly wing pattern (geometric marquetry), highlighting the natural contrasts of the wood grain. Gilt bronze (Ormolu) applications. Noteworthy are the floral ornaments, rococo volutes on the sides, and decorative sabots covering the feet. Beveled marble stone top that perfectly follows the sinuous curve of the furniture.
