ANTIQUE HALL CHEST IN WALNUT BURL - Beautiful antique hall chest, with a robust wooden structure and entirely covered with high-quality walnut burl veneer. The front and top feature a symmetrical decorative work (”vein matching”), creating a natural undulating pattern with great visual effect. Front centered by a large and ornate cut-out and openwork gilt bronze lock escutcheon and robust bronze fittings on the sides, with relief decorations. Resting on 4 carved feet, ending in stylized claws or volutes. Interior with an articulated shelf and large open space at the bottom. In very good condition (shows a visible scratch on the top).
