IMPOSING DECORATIVE SET: SCULPTURAL BUST AND PEDESTAL (19TH/20TH CENTURY) - Imposing and sumptuous neoclassical palace decorative set consisting of a sculptural bust and a column pedestal, estimated 19th/20th century. The full-volume bust, entirely sculpted in ocher marble, reproduces the rigorous iconography of the Roman general and statesman Gaius Julius Caesar in his maturity, harmoniously placed on an elegant cylindrical pedestal also in marble, of an off-white tone with natural gray veins, composed of a fluted shaft of Greco-Roman inspiration, a capital with decorated moldings in relief, and a molded circular base. A piece of great grandeur for collecting or prestigious interior decoration in very good overall structural condition. Height 178 cm (Bust: approximately 80 x 60 x 30 cm / Column: 101 x 36 cm).
