ANTIQUE NOMADIC KILIM SADDLEBAG (HEYBE) - HANDWOVEN WOOL - ANATOLIAN TRIBAL ART - Exceptional and rare traditional nomadic saddlebag (Heybe), entirely hand-woven in wool. An example of tribal textile art, dating from the mid-20th century, it retains its complete original structure, firm original seams, and an authentic patina that attests to its history and uniqueness. The piece is composed of two functional pockets at the ends, richly decorated with geometric and symmetrical Kilim patterns, which are joined by a contrasting central section worked in horizontal and vertical stripes in shades of olive green, black, and ecru. The color palette of the main pockets exhibits a timeless harmony of deep burgundy, dark blue, and terracotta, with white accents highlighting the geometric graphics. Originally designed for transporting goods on the backs of horses or camels, this piece today stands out for its high ethnographic value and enormous potential in boho chic or rustic interior design.
