RARE VINTAGE TURKISH CICIM KILIM RUG - HAND-WOVEN, WOOL ON WOOL - 20TH CENTURY - Tribal textile art piece from Anatolia (Turkey), hand-woven in the mid-20th century using the complex Cicim technique, which features rich geometric and traditional diamond motifs in relief on a flat base. Made entirely of wool on wool with artisan-spun threads, it displays a vibrant palette of organic dyes dominated by deep burgundy, brown, burnt orange, and mustard yellow tones, evidencing the beautiful color variations (abrash) typical of authentic nomadic pieces. The lot has some small flaws and defects, presenting a natural patina and well-preserved original fringes that attest to its age and character, making it an ideal piece for both collecting and contemporary interior decoration.
