ANTIQUE QASHQAI/AFGHAN TRIBAL KILIM RUG (3.76 SQM) - Authentic Kilim rug of nomadic tribal origin, historically associated with the rich weaving traditions of the Qashqai or Afghan communities. This piece stands out for its entirely manual manufacture using the traditional flatweave technique (pileless flat weaving), demonstrating rigorous technical execution and great ethnographic value. The chromatic composition is based on a vibrant background in dark red and orange tones, upon which a repeated succession of hexagonal medallions and stylized geometric diamonds unfolds. These motifs are filled with a rich palette of organic pigments, including variations of blue, mustard yellow, bluish-green, black, and white. The complex side borders feature a dynamic zigzag pattern that perfectly frames the piece geometrically. The ends preserve the original fringes with the natural exposure of the wool warp threads. A versatile collector's piece, ideal for both rustic and bohemian (boho chic) environments, as well as for contrasting with modern and contemporary decorations.
