HEAD - Wooden sculpture representing a stylized human head on a cylindrical neck with perimeter perforations for eventual attachment. The elongated face, covered with whitish pigment, features furrowed eyebrows and a marked mouth, beneath a dotted hairstyle from which two high, symmetrical vertical staffs rise. Surface with dark patina, brownish nuances, and traces of wear. The morphology of the lightened head and the double upper appendage show characteristics that may refer to crest-mask traditions of West/Central Africa.
