SCULPTURAL PIECE - Janiform anthropomorphic figure in wood with beads and shells, with compact and angular volumes, seated on an irregular base. The two opposing heads feature half-closed eyelids, incisions suggesting scarifications, and projected mouths with engraved dentition. The waist is cinched by a string of blue beads, and the surface reveals a dark, lustrous patina with areas of wear. The geometrization of the body and the double head may be akin to certain traditions of Central Africa.
