HEAD - Sculptural terracotta head, with compact volumes and a concentrated expression. Elongated pierced eyes, incised brow arches, prominent nose, and narrow mouth with a vertical groove; on the chin, an engraved frieze suggesting a beard. The sides exhibit textured protuberances evoking elaborate hair ornaments. Brownish-orange, granular surface, with a uniform patina and small losses at the base; the formal language may be close to West African traditions.
