MASK - Oval-faced mask, made from various materials, with a collected expression, half-closed eyes, a pronounced nose, and an open oval mouth. Brown surface with a lustrous patina and traces of ocher pigment; applications of blue and yellow beads form motifs on the forehead and thin fillets descending from the eyelids. A crown of braids and a wide braided mesh collar accentuate the volume and presence of the piece. Due to its morphology and the use of beads, it presents characteristics that may refer to Central African traditions; presented on an exhibition base.
