MASK - Wooden mask of marked verticality, conceived in the form of a helmet with a tubular extension of the neck. The slightly recessed face displays eyes in triangular slits and a continuous ridge nose; beneath the cap, an incised frieze with red painted triangles enlivens the piece. Blackened surfaces with a lustrous patina, contrasted by ochre areas inside and subtle red highlights on the edges. Presents characteristics that may refer to helmet-mask typologies from Central Africa.
