STATUETTE - Anthropomorphic figure in wood, with a frontal composition, kneeling with long arms descending to the ground, feet indicated by incisions and compact volumes. Rounded head with marked eyebrows, half-closed eyes, protruding mouth and a small upper appendage. Darkened patina surface, with abrasions on the prominences, signs of use and visible cracks, including a vertical fracture running through the face and torso. The synthetic cut of the forms and the solemnity of the posture present characteristics that may refer to sculptural universes of Central Africa.
