Bidspirit auction | ANTHROPOMORPHIC FIGURE

ANTHROPOMORPHIC FIGURE - Vertical sculpture in metal alloy, with a totemic presence, featuring an elongated figure with textured feet; a triangular profile torso, pendant arms, and an incised circular motif at the center. The mask-like head rises on a tall neck, displaying small horns, an open mouth, and rings in the ears. Surface with dark patina, brownish nuances, and shine on the prominences, with irregularities typical of casting. Due to the elongated proportions and the mask-like head with horns and graphic patterns, it may refer to the sculptural tradition of West Africa, an attribution not confirmable by photographs alone.
