Bidspirit auction | FEMALE FIGURE

FEMALE FIGURE - Anthropomorphic figure in metal alloy, standing, with arched arms resting on the lower abdomen, prominent breasts, and projected shoulders; serene face with a small coiled hairstyle. The abdomen exhibits a concentric spiral motif, accompanied by bracelets and a belt, in a set of compact and schematic volumes. Dark patina with highlights of use on the prominences and visible irregular molding texture. The use of spiral windings and annular adornments may be close to the Dhokra sculptural tradition of the Indian subcontinent, a hypothesis that cannot be confirmed by photographs alone.
