MUSICIAN FIGURE - Figurative sculpture in metal alloy, with marked verticality, representing a crowned figure playing a horn, with densely textured skirt and breastplate, bracelets and necklaces in relief. The elongated body rests on a cylindrical base with small modeled figures and mascarons, suggesting a narrative reading; dark patina with smoothed highlights on the protrusions. Due to the treatment of the face, the headdress with radiant elements, and the braided motifs of the costume, it exhibits characteristics that may refer to the sculptural tradition of Benin, a hypothesis that cannot be confirmed solely by photographs.
