ANTHROPOMORPHIC FIGURE - Anthropomorphic wooden sculpture, with an elongated body on a bulging base, with a darkened and polished patina. The head, a flat disk, features a perforated rim and an upper reticulated motif, incised facial features, and a ringed neck; the arms form a horizontal crossbar with a small tray. The torso reveals discreet incisions and subtle volumes. Based on the combination of elements — a flat circular head, a ringed neck, and bar-like arms — it may be similar to the sculptural tradition of figures known as akua’ba in the Akan universe, an attribution that cannot be confirmed solely by photographs.
