ANTHROPOMORPHIC CONTAINER - Wooden container sculpted in the form of a female head in profile, with an arched handle at the nape and a circular base. The surface, dark-toned and with a lustrous patina, exhibits fine incised grid and triangular motifs in the pointed hairstyle, repeated on the rim and foot, with serene features and half-closed eyes. The composition is compact, with volumes well integrated between the upper bowl, the face, and the handle. Due to the combination of the handled shape, the emphasis on the hairstyle, and the dense geometric grid, it may be similar to the Kuba sculptural tradition; this hypothesis cannot be confirmed solely by photographs.
