MASK - Anthropomorphic mask carved in wood, with a markedly elongated shape and strict frontality. Surface with irregular whitish patina, vertical crack at the top, and wear on the lower edge; physiognomy reduced to fine lines: slit eyes under engraved arches, continuous crest nose, and prominent angular chin. Due to the verticality of the face, economy of forms, and light patina, it may approximate the Fang (Ngil) sculptural tradition, an attribution that cannot be confirmed by photographs alone. Presented on a display base.
