Bidspirit auction | FIGURE WITH OFFSPRING

FIGURE WITH OFFSPRING - Terracotta figure, anthropomorphic with simian features, seated with bent legs and holding offspring on its lap. Head with an elongated snout, perforated eyes, and an incised mouth with suggested teeth; punctiform motifs mark eyebrows, arms, and the top of the head, lending tactile rhythm. The arched arms form openings that balance the volumes. Granular texture surface, with a matte grayish patina and slight wear on the protrusions.
