HEAD - Head sculpture made of metal alloy, with full volumes and serene expression. Naturalistic face with fine incisions on the cheeks, almond-shaped eyes, and an elongated neck with multiple rings; a tall conical headdress richly textured with radiating motifs and a fringe of beads, topped with a small figure. Dark patinated surface, with polished highlights on the reliefs. Due to the high ribbed collar, the ornamented conical headdress, and the facial treatment, it could be attributed to the sculptural tradition of Benin; attribution not confirmable solely by photographs.
