HEAD - Anthropomorphic head cast in metal alloy, with compact volumes, a high neck rhythmic with rings, and a headdress with ribbed bands. The symmetrically treated face exhibits a central groove, oval eyes, and a contained mouth, with incisions on the eyebrows and marks on the face. This set of elements may refer to the sculptural tradition of Benin or Ifé, a hypothesis not confirmable solely by photographs. Irregular greenish patina, granular texture; cracks and an evident gap on the right side of the face, minor wear.
