Bidspirit auction | MASK WITH PENDANTS

MASK WITH PENDANTS - Ornamental mask made of various materials, with a molded frontal element in relief, a face with defined features and linear incisions, crowned by an elaborate headdress with a suspension ring. From the perimeter hang multiple fringes of beads, alternating cylindrical and spherical volumes, finished with clear discs, forming a rhythmic curtain. Surface with heterogeneous patina and a rich interplay of textures, presented on an exhibition base. The piece shows characteristics that may refer to the sculptural tradition of West Africa — face with incised marks, elevated headdress, and bead veil — an association that cannot be confirmed solely by photographs.
