SEATED FIGURE - Anthropomorphic figure in wood with beads and shells, seated on a small four-legged stool, hands resting on the knees. Elongated proportions, marked joints, and a narrow face with a contained expression; head with a pronounced incised crest and a brown patina, lustrous from use. Red bead cords with shells at the neck and waist introduce contrast and rhythm. The slender morphology, seated position, and crest hairstyle may allude to Malian traditions, possibly related to the Dogon universe.
