CARVED PIECE - Elongated wooden piece, with a fusiform body with pointed ends and gently convex faces. The surface is entirely patterned with parallel longitudinal grooves, intersected by an oblique band that creates herringbone motifs; the contrast between brown tones and whitish pigment enhances the relief. Homogeneous patina, with discrete visible signs of use. It exhibits characteristics that may refer to Australian Aboriginal traditions, namely the typology of parrying shields (wunda), due to its shape and grid of linear incisions.
