Bidspirit auction | FEMALE FIGURE

FEMALE FIGURE - Female wooden figure with beads and shells, with a compact body and squatting posture on a circular base, with wide feet and well-defined toes. The face, with a concentrated expression, displays arched eyebrows, half-closed eyes, and a ridged crest-like hairstyle; dark brown patina with slight wear. A necklace of small orange beads accentuates the neck. The piece has formal traits — posture, elongated head, and detailed volumes — that may refer to Central African traditions.
