Bidspirit auction | FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE

FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE - Anthropomorphic wooden sculpture, with axial composition and marked frontality. The face, with almond-shaped eyes and an incised mustache, appears above a wide annular collar with discs, with geometric motifs engraved on the torso and waist. The brown surface has a lustrous patina that accentuates the relief and modeling. At the top, a small superimposed figure extends the vertical axis, a solution that may refer to West African traditions.
