POLYCHROME FIGURE - Vertical carved and painted figure, in wood with fibers and fabric, composed of an oval head with concentric eyes and a prominent nose, followed by a densely geometric rectangular panel and oval terminations. Tricolor palette in black, white, and earth-red, with motifs of triangles and concentric targets, lending strong axial symmetry and graphic rhythm. Homogeneous patina and textured surface. Shows characteristics that may refer to traditions of the Gulf of Papua, namely the palette, concentric circles, and physiognomic stylization.
