Bidspirit auction | TUBULAR SCULPTURE

TUBULAR SCULPTURE - Anthropomorphic figure in terracotta, with a tubular body with a slightly widened base and a face in low relief with summary features. High, conical, segmented headdress, finished with an incised frieze that surrounds the forehead, accentuating the verticality of the piece. Surface with visible grain, irregular ocher tones and earthy patina, with small lateral perforations and signs of wear. Shows characteristics that may refer to West African productions, due to the segmented headdress and the stylized treatment of the face.
